Working with Territories is possible only in VideoCAD Professional

Territories are defined areas on the location layout that require video surveillance with specific parameters. VideoCAD calculates the video surveillance parameters the project provides within the territory boundaries and presents them as a table..

Problem

It is necessary to obtain in numerical form the parameters of video surveillance provided by the project for the courtyard, foyer and adjacent territory at a distance of 2 meters from the wall of the building.

Order of Work

1. Open the Territories window by clicking the Territories button on the Graphic Window Toolbar.

2. Create a new territory by clicking on the button on the Toolbar at the bottom of the Territory window Territory>+New.

3. If necessary, change the Editable Parameters of the Territory:

•Change the Territory Name, enter Description.

•Select in the combo box the Pixel Density Pattern, according to the Criteria of which the following results will be calculated:
►Minimum, maximum and average values of the Criterion (e.g. pixel density) inside the territory;
►The area of the territory observed according to each region of the Pixel Density Pattern (e.g. Identification, Recognition, Observation..).

•PTZ cameras cannot monitor their control zones continuously. To exclude PTZ cameras from this territory calculation, clear the PTZ field.

•Adjust Color and Hatching of polygons of this territory on layout.

4. Close the Territories window. From the Graphics window's Toolbar, select the Polygon tool.

Cover the area to be analyzed with closed polygons on the layout in the Graphics window.

A single territory can include multiple polygons. Polygons may overlap.

Until new polygons are included in a territory, the new polygons may shadow camera view areas; ignore this for now.

5. Select the polygons using the selection window or by clicking on the boundaries while holding down Ctrl. From the Main Menu of the Graphics window, select: Edit > Include Selected Polygons in Territory <Territory Name>.

Polygons will adopt the color and hatching assigned in the territory parameters and will no longer shadow camera view areas.

6. Reopen the Territories window. Click the Table>Calculate button on the Territories toolbar.

Make sure that the Polygon count field displays the number of polygons included in the territory, the Territory Area>Whole has become different from zero, and the calculated parameters of the territory limited by the polygons have appeared in the remaining fields of the table.
