   Materials

 

The window is designed to work with libraries of raster images: materials and license plates.

You can select Materials or Plates on the tabs in the left part of the window.

 

 

Materials

 

All Constructions can be not only painted, but also covered by materials (textures). Any raster images in the formats * .bmp, * .jpg, * .gif, * .tif, * .png can be used as materials.

You can assign a material to a new or edited construction using the Assign Material , , buttons on the Current Construction parameter panel.

 

By selecting the Materials tab, you can edit library of the materials.

 

Select - select a material from library for editing. The picture of the material in the right part of the window can be moved and scaled by the mouse.

 

Name - arbitrary name of the material.

 

Stretch over the object - the picture of the material will stretch over the surface of the target object.

 

Set size - set the real size of the picture of material in meters or feet. If the size of the target object is larger than the size of the material, then the material will be repeated.

 

Examples: brickwork, tile, patterns, grass.

 

Transparent material - the material will mix its drawing with the color of the target object.

 

Examples of simulating earth and shadows on colored walls using transparent materials.

 

 

Save changes - save changes of properties of the selected material.

Add - add a new material from a file *.bmp, *.jpg, *.gif, *.tif, *.png.

 

It is recommended to avoid using high resolution images as materials.

 

Save - save material to a raster file.

 

Dupl - make a copy of the selected material.

 

Delete - delete selected material.

 

Directories

 

The materials in the menu can be distributed by directories. Directories are displayed in the combobox.

 

Add - add a new directory for materials.

 

Delete - delete visible directory for materials.

 

Insert - put selected material to the visible directory.

Lisense plates

 

Location of the License plates on 3D models - cars can be set initially when importing.

 

Models without set License plates can be assigned the plates and their location on the Sizes tab of the 3D Models window.

 

By default, the same default license plate image is displayed on all 3D models with set license plate. You can assign another License plate to desired 3D Model using the Assign License plate button on the Current construction parameter panel.

 

Any raster images in the formats * .bmp, * .jpg, * .gif, * .tif, * .png  can be used as License plates.

 

Selecting the Plates tab allows you to edit the license plate library.

 

Select -  select a License plate from library for editing. The picture of the plate in the right part of the window can be moved and scaled by the mouse.

Default size - default License plate size set in the Options box will be assign to the License plate.
