Any plans to integrate with Google Sketchup?
It is so easy to used compared to building with CCTVcad. It just doesnt have the camera setting you offer.
If we could model in Sketchup and import to CCTVcad - wow ! what a tool
3D models from Google
Re: 3D models from Google
Google Sketchup Pro have a possibility of export any 3D model to formats *.dwg *.dxf *.3ds. There are also third party plugins for exporting.
These formats can be opened in 3ds max.
Thus, using 3ds max and our import module, any 3D model from Google collection can be imported to VideoCAD.
3ds max 2011 can open Google Sketchup files directly.
In the next versions we plan to make direct way for importing Google models without 3ds max.

Re: 3D models from Google
Will this Google Sketch-Up plugin work with previous VideoCAD versions (5/6) or just with the current version (7)?
Re: 3D models from Google
This plugin makes *.vcm file. This file format is supported by VideoCAD4,5,6,7 (Lite and Professional)
Re: 3D models from Google
Starting from VideoCAD 9.1 you can import ready 3D models of objects and territories without using SketchUP. You can import 3D models from files: *.3ds, *.ase (3D Studio max), *.dae, *.xml (Collada), *.obj and more than twenty 3D formats. You can download 3D models in Collada format (*.dae) from free SketchUP 3D Warehouse library, use 3DS Max models from designer's libraries, 3D models from game model libraries, create 3D models in SketchUP, save them in *.dae and import in VideoCAD.
Aso it is possible to transform, colorize, incline 3D models. You can cut out parts from complex 3D models.
You can make 3D models in VideoCAD itself from constructions and other 3D models.
