export project as dxf drawing

Post by peckcw »

Hi, CCTVCAD support.

Our engineer is using (2.8GHZ processor, 504M of RAM, Windows XP Professional SP2 ) to export cctv.vmp (1200kb file) into dxf drawing.

The error message shows OUT OF MEMORY.

Please advice.

It seems your project have very complicated background may be with non standard scale or complicated elements.
Your engineer should simplify the background.

The problem is connected with complicated background, likely in dxf or dwg formats. Some features of the background is not supported by export module. Therefore your engineer could simplify the background in AutoCAD, delete unnecessary elements. As a rule no many elements are needed in VideoCAD for camera placing.
In exported *.dxf file the simplified background will be presented on separated layer, then your engineer can replace the background by original one in AutoCAD.

It is possible to Hide background when exporting (Main menu>Drawing>Hide background>In Horizontal projection). After exporting your engineer can add the background to exported file in AutoCAD.

In any case exported background differs from original one and it might be needed to replace it in the exported file.

If it is possible send us the background.

In VideoCAD8 import and export of AutoCAD files have been reworked and considerably improved. See details
