Can VideoCad use the DTM?

I have some issues about CCTV design base on mountains terrain (modelling simulation).

So, I have a question about your s/w. Can your s/w analyze CCTV based on the terrain(dtm, clutter, building etc...)????

If you're possible to this, Could you possible to inform us about how it can be done?
(How to make terrain model and usable format, etc)

I think it would be possible to build the terrain as a 3D model in Google SketchUP or other 3D software. Then you can import this model in VideoCAD and place cameras on it.
You can use Shadows to determine visible and non-visible areas in the Graphics window and see 3D image models in the 3D window.

However VideoCAD7 is oriented for modeling on flat horizontal surface and working with mountainous terrain will be inconvenient.

In VideoCAD8 a lot of new tools useful for your task have been already implemented, but this version is not ready for release as yet. Unfortunately I don't know when it will be released, there are a lot of non-implemented ideas too.

In VideoCAD8 you can work with 3D models of terrain.
